【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverschlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride)(CPVC)Schedule40socket-typepipefittings.Includedarerequirementsformaterials,workmanship,dimensions,andburstpressure.Note1-TheCPVCfittingscoveredbythisstandardwerecoveredpreviouslyinSpecificationD2466.Theproductscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforusewiththedistributionofpressurizedliquidsonly,whicharechemicallycompatiblewiththepipingmaterials.Duetoinherenthazardsassociatedwithtestingcomponentsandsystemswithcompressedairorothercompressedgasessomemanufacturersdonotallowpneumatictestingoftheirproducts.Consultwithspecificproduct/componentmanufacturersfortheirspecifictestingprocedurespriortopneumatictesting.Note2-Pressurized(compressed)airorothercompressedgasescontainlargeamountsofstoredenergywhichpresentserioussafteyhazardsshouldasystemfailforanyreason.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesaregivenforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section8,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
